Description

This dessert is perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth and can be whipped up in no time.
Kosher, Dairy or Pareve

Equipment

  • Chef knife optional
  • Skewers optional
  • You could use any pan or baking sheet size you want. Just make sure that there is room to spread your chocolate in a nice even layer.

Ingredients

  • 7 oz (200 grams) dark chocolate chopped or broken into pieces (use non-dairy chocolate to make it Pareve)
  • 8 large medjool dates pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup peanuts roasted and salted
  • 3-4 tablespoons peanut butter

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet or a pan with parchment paper.
  • Place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
  • In small bowl mix together peanuts, chopped dates, and the melted chocolate.
  • Spread the mixture into an even layer on the prepared pan.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture onto the chocolate, then swirl it into the chocolate with a knife or toothpick to create a marbled effect.
  • Let the bark cool and harden in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
  • Once completely set, remove the parchment paper and break the bark into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, ideally less than 70ºF/21ºC. The bark will last for several weeks and doesn’t need to be refrigerated.
If you have to store it in the refrigerator, make sure it’s in an airtight container to prevent moisture and smells from spoiling the chocolate.
Gift It: This makes a great homemade gift! Gift it in a cute bag with a ribbon on top.
