I fell in love with smoothies when I was a student at Hawaii Pacific University (a lifetime ago). I remember feeling so much healthier just by entering a smoothie shop. When I went back to Israel after graduation, I missed my favorite combos so much that I started making them at home. “Peanut Butter Moo’d” from Jamba Juice was and still is my number one favorite, and this is how I make it:

Servings: 1 smmothie



  • 1 small banana (preferably frozen)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 grams) cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk of your choice
  • 1/2-3/4 cup (120-180 ml) cold water


  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. If your smoothie seems too thick, add a bit of milk or water.
